Alpinestar Tech Air 5 Airbag Vest is fully automated. Two gyroscopes and two accelerometers monitor the wearer's body position and inflate the vest if there is a sudden change in position that is out of the normal.

The electronics and Argon gas cartridges are housed in a hardened plastic that also acts as a back protector.
